Deshler, OH Two Car Collision, Aug 1959


Napoleon, Ohio - (AP) - Five persons, four of them from one family, were injured fatally Saturday in a two-car collision on Ohio 65 two miles southwest of Deshler. Three other members of the family were hurt.
The latest to die, in Wood County Hospital at Bowling Green, was 13-week-old BONNIE SHANK.
The others killed were BONNIE'S mother, BETTY, 34, of Ottawa; two other SHANK children - DENNY, 6, and SHARON, 8 - and PARLEY J. AGNER, 38, of Leipsic.
MRS SHANK'S husband, CHESTER, 38, was taken to St. Vincent's Hospital in Toledo with a fractured skull and crushed chest. A son, RAY, 12, was admitted to Wood County Hospital with facial fractures and internal injuries. Another son, GARY, 3, was treated in the same hospital for minor injuries.
