LIGHTNING PLAYS HAVOC IN OKLAHOMA.

MINING COMMUNITY NEAR McALLISTER DAMAGED TODAY BY LIGHTNING AND ONE DEATH IS REPORTED.

STRUCK POWDER HOUSE.

OF THE SAMPLES MINING COMPANY -- TEN PERSONS WERE INJURED AND TWELVE RESIDENCES TOTALLY DESTROYED -- KATY RAILROAD SUFFERS.

McAllister, Okla., Sept. 17. -- Lightning wrought havoc here today. As a result one persons is dead, ten others are seriously injured, and twelve residences are destroyed.

Injured:
MRS. JOHN SNYDER.
MRS. THOMAS HELM and baby.
MRS. S. BARCELONA.
MRS. SAMANITO.
S. L. BLACK, wife and two children.
MRS. Z. CARDOSS.
Lightning struck the powder house of the Samples Mining company. The houses destroyed were the homes of miners. The scene of the disaster was two miles from the city. Seventeen Katy box cars were also wrecked.
