Newburg, OR Canning Plant Fire, Jun 1931

NEWBERG, Ore., June 8--(AP)--The plant, equipment and all machinery of the Oregon Canning Company here was destroyed by fire today with a loss estimated by the owners at $200,000.

The fire department said the blaze "unquestionably" was of incendiary origin, but no motive was advanced.

The fire chief said who ever set the fire turned off the plant water system, leaving the buildings unprotected.
