MOVIE STUNT MAN DROWNS WHILE DOUBLING FOR STAR
Marshfield, Or., June 18—(AP)—R. D. Jones, a Hollywood actor, doubling for a star in the Famous Players-Lasky company, filming a motion picture here, was drowned in the Coquille river yesterday. Jones was shooting rapids in a canoe for a picture. The canoe overturned and he disappeared.
Accounts received here said that Jones was inexperienced in handling a canoe and was warned by a log driver not to attempt to run the rapids.

BODY OF MOVIE STUNT MAN IS RECOVERED
Marshfield, Ore., June 13.—The body of R. D. Jones, Famous Players-Lasky movie “stunt man” who was drowned yesterday afternoon while shooting the Coquille river rapids in a canoe in taking pictures for the “Ancient Highway” was found late today five miles from where he disappeared.
