Connellsville, PA Auto Accident, Jun 1937

Boy Hurrying to Store Runs in Front of Car.

Jimmy, five year old son of Mr. and Mrs. James Taylor, residing at 106 North Cottage avenue, was injured this morning at 6:50 o'clock when struck by a car driven by Charles E. Brown, of Hillcrest at Crawford avenue and East Apple street. The boy, who said he was on his way to a grocery to get candy, had evidently been waiting on the sidewalk for a truck belonging to Corrado & Galiardi to pass. When it started to move he ran back of it and directly in front of the car driven by Brown.

The car was stopped quickly and the boy removed to the Connellsville State Hospital where an examination showed a broken collarbone. Mr. Taylor is an auto mechanic employed at the Chevrolet garage.
