FIREMAN KILLED IN TRUCK WRECK.

Nicktown, Pa. (AP) - A young fireman was killed and three others were injured when their water tank truck overturned and burst into flames while responding to a barn fire.
The men, all from Spangler, were on their way to a fire late Thursday in neighboring Indiana County when their truck skidded out of control while rounding a curve and struck a tree.
The driver of the truck, JOHN J. CONTRES, JR., 21, was pinned under the wreckage Thursday night. He suffered burns over his entire body and was pronounced dead on arrival at Miners Hospital, Spangler.
One of the injured, GEORGE FAGAN, JR., 17, was transferred to Memorial Hospital in Johnstown, where he was reported in serious condition Friday with burns, cuts and two broken legs.
WILLIAM WINTERS, 20, and PAUL GACH, 23, both were reported in satisfactory condition at Miners Hospital.
The accident occurred about three miles from the scene of the barn fire. The building burned to the ground, authorities said.
