Downingtown, PA Turnpike Crash Kills Two, Mar 1959

2 KILLED, 3 INJURED IN TURNPIKE COLLISION.

Downingtown, Pa. (AP) - A head-on automobile collision on the Pennsylvania Turnpike near the Downingtown interchange Friday night killed two in one family and injured three others.
The dead are MRS. MARY JANE TEMPLIN, 46, and her daughter, JANICE, 6.
The father, Chief Warrant Officer FRED M. TEMPLIN, 48, and the two other children, MARY, 11, and JAMES, 10, were taken to a hospital for treatment.
TEMPLIN was driving his family to its Milwaukee home for Easter from his post at Woodside, N.Y., when his westbound car went out of control, crossed a medial strip and collided with an eastbound car. Its driver, escaped injury.
