Bryn Mawr, PA Dormitory Fire, Aug 1915
Fire in Bryn Mawr College
Special to The Inquirer.
BRYN MAWR, Pa., Aug. 25.---Noticing smoke coming from a window on the second floor of the Low Building, one of the dormitories of Bryn Mawr College, early this morning, Richard Barrie, one of the college watchmen, investigated and called by Bryn Mawr Fire Company, which quelled the blaze with the use of chemicals. The loss is estimated at about $200. It is supposed that the fire started from crossed electric wires. The buildings being vacant at this time of the year no lives were endangered.
