ACCIDENTS IN THIS SECTION

Crushed under a fall of rock in the Ernest mine of the Rochester & Pittsburgh Coal Co. Friday evening, David William Nicholson, aged 36, of 128 Church street, Indiana, was instantly killed.

Born Sept. 1, 1900, the son of Joseph and Jennie Ober Nicholson, Mr. Nicholson had resided in this county for eleven years, his early life having been spent in Greensburg.

Mr. Nicholson leaves a widow, Mrs. Hope Nicholson; one son, Bobbie, and two daughters, Arlene and Jean; his father, Joseph Nicholson of Marion Center; two brothers, Leroy, of Indiana, and Joseph, of Dixonville; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Wishong, of Hillsdale; Mrs. Viola Rose, of Coremaugh, and Mrs. Ada Litzinger, of Indiana.

The body was taken to the Robinson Funeral Home where service were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday by Rev. John M. Kennedy, of the First Regular Baptist Church, assisted by Rev. H. A. Markell, of the Wesleyan Methodist Church. Interment followed in Ruffner Cemetery Greensburg.
