2 SUNDAY MISHAPS CLAIM LIVES OF 8; FIVE INJURED.

Eight persons died as the result of two separate traffic accidents in South Dakota Sunday.
Half a dozen lives were claimed by a car and truck collision on U.S. Highway 16 some four miles east of Presho, 35 miles south and east of Pierre.
Occupants of the car listed as dead were all from Lower Brule, in South Dakota.
They were:
DAVIS GROOMS, 32, postmaster at Lower Brule.
his wife, BETH, 23.
WILLIAM HENDERSHOT, 32.
his daughter, PAMELA, 4.
RONNIE BLACKSMITH, 18.
Also killed was a passenger in the truck ORIS GLAZE, 35, Gordon, Neb.
The driver of the truck, VERNON KOHL, 30, Pine Ridge, was hospitalized at Chamberlain and reported in fair condition. Occupants of the car in a Chamberlain hospital were JASPER EAGLE STAR, 18, Rosebud, in poor condition.
DELIA HENDERSHOT, 23, wife of WILLIAM, reported in fair condition.
the HENDERSHOTS' 2-year-old daughter, SANDRA, in poor condition.
2-year-old DAVIS GROOMS, in poor condition.
After arrival at the hospital, MRS. HENDERSHOT gave birth to a stillborn child.
