McEWEN TWO-CAR CRASH KILLS NINE; SIX INJURED.

A tragic car-pickup truck collision near McEwen Sunday night which killed nine persons boosting the weekend accidental death toll in Tennessee to 18, according to a United Press International Survey.
The highway patrol said 11 persons were riding in a car which collided head-on with a pickup truck carrying four in a driving rain on U.S. 70, 1 1/2 miles east of McEwen. Nine persons were killed and six injured.
The victims in the accident were LOUIS R. BAKER, 34, of McEwen, his sons, RONNIE, 6, and DONNIE, 8, his sister, MARTHA BAKER, 25, of Nashville, her daughter, JOY, 15 months; JEFF MILLER, 30, of Nashville, his wife BETTY, 29; and J.C. McCALEB, 38, of Burns, Tenn., and his son, BARRY, 7.
