$60,000 Damage at Port Arthur.
Port Arthur, Texas, Dec. 31 (AP).-Fire fanned by a high wind here destroyed the Richards & Bean lumber yards and the Gulf Furniture Company warehouse, causing damage estimated at $60,000 and injuring one fireman.
Eddie Lehman, the fireman, was overcome by smoke when he entered the burning building and was rescued by fellow fighters. He was resuscitated at a local hospital. Cause of the blaze, which originated in the lumber yard, has not been determined.
