3 of Family Burned To Death Near Spur

Spur, Dec 11. – Three members of a farm family died Sunday in a fire that destroyed the two room house in which they shared one room.

They were Mrs. John D. PHILLIPS, 24, and two of her three children, Barbara Ann, seven months, and Ronald Eugene, 2, PHILLIPS, 20, suffered critical burns. Their third child, Janice Marie, 3, was not hurt.

A family of four persons living in the other room of the house escaped.

A fire started about 7:20 a.m. when an oil stove exploded as breakfast was being prepared. The frame house burned to the ground.

It was on the Bill CALVERT farm seven miles northwest of here.
