Rev. C. E. BROWN of Oakland on interurban Loses $5,000 Worth of Property.

Fort Worth, Tex., May 21, - The residence of Rev. C. E. BROWN at Oakland, on the interurban, was totally destroyed by fire tonight with a loss of about $5,000. Rev. BROWN, who is a Methodist minister, is in Ennis, Tex., holding a meeting. Only Mrs. BROWN and a grandson were at home.

The fire was caused by Mrs. BROWN accidentally dropping a lamp, the blaze spreading rapidly. She experienced a narrow escape.
