Texline, TX Bomber Crash, June 1943

Dalhart, Tex., June 7. -- Sgt. FREDERICK F. BABB of Highland, Kas., was in a hospital at Clayton, N.M., today, receiving treatment for serious burns received Saturday night in an airplane accicdent in which five men were killed.
The plane, a heavy bomber, crashed near Texline.
The men who lost their lives were:
Lieut. EDWARD C. HANKS of Monrovia, Cal.
Lieut. PHILLIP R. SALLEE of Lexington, Ky.
Lieut. HARLAND S. SEVERSON of Santa Maria, Cal.
Staff Sgt. RICHARD L. WATERS of Jacksonville, Ala.
Staff Sgt. EDWARD M. PROFOZICH of Etna, Pa.
BABB and three other men parachuted to the ground.
The others were:
Staff Sgt. CHARLES R. PATTERSON of Franklin, Ind.
Staff Sgt. OSCAR A. NELSON of Broaten, Minn.
Staff Sgt. STEPHEN A. WEDGE of Westfield, Mass.
