Denton Fire Loss Assessed $29,000
DENTON, Texas, Nov. 10.—Damages estimated at $29,000 resulted from a fire early Wednesday in the Woodson Harris grocery, just off the courthouse square.
Losses on the grocery and feed stock and equipment were estimated at $14,000, and damage to the building, owned by Will Williams, was believed to be $15,000.
Fire Chief Eugene Cook described the blaze as the biggest single loss suffered in Denton in ten years. Two companies of firemen, composed of twenty men, fought the fire steadily for three hours.
