LAMPASAS FIRE LOSS PLACED AT $150,000
LAMPASAS, April 26.---Fire of unknown origin destroyed the Stokes Brothers banking, dry goods and grocery store here last night and for a time threatened the whole business block.
The damage is estimated at between $100,000 to $150,000. The blaze, which originated at 7:47 o'clock, was under control at 11 p. m.
The Stoke Brothers firm was perhaps the largest in the city and carried a heavy stock of goods.

LAMPASAS IS HIT BY $100,000 NIGHT BLAZE

Lampasas, Texas, April 25.---The building occupied and owned by Stokes Bros & Co., general merchants, and Stokes Bros., bankers, was completely destroyed by fire here tonight about 7 o'clock. The stock of goods and fixtures are a complete loss, nothing but the walls of the building remain standing. The loss is estimated as $100,000, fully covered by insurance.

LAMPASAS, Texas, April 26.---Damage estimated at nearly $300,000 was done here last night when fire destroyed a bank, a dry goods store and grocery store and threatened an entire business block. The fire burned for more than four hours.
