Courthouse and Residences Wrecked in King County
ONE MAN INJURED BUT NO LIVES LOST
County Officials at Guthrie, Tex., Had Narrow Escape
Fort Worth, Tex., April 23 -- (Special.) -- A tornado passed over portions of West Texas yesterday afternoon, and reports received by the Record last night, although meager, and from scattered sections, would indicated that it covered a long stretch of country, and possibly all the damage has not been reported.
The first indication of the storm came from Guthrie, King county, Tex., i the following special telegram to the Record:
Guthrie, Tex. April 21. -- (Special.) -- A tornado passed through Guthrie at 3 p.m. wrecking the court house and destroying two residences. The county judge was in the court house and had a narrow escape. The county clerk's residence was badly damaged. John Duren was badly hurt. No lives were lost.
