SUFFERS HEAVY FIRE LOSS.

North Side of Snyder Square Devastated - Ten Firms Put Out of Business.

Snyder, Scurry Co., Tex., Jan. 21. - Fire, discovered at 6 o'clock yesterday morning upstairs in the building occupied by the Hargrove grocery store, destroyed all of the buildings on the north side of the public square, except two brick houses on the northwest corner, occupied by the First National Bank and Warren Bros.' drug store. The eight buildings burned were one and two-story frame structures. The total insurance carried approximated $4,000. Following is a list of the firms who suffered losses:

H. V. Williams' photograph gallery, Hardin & Matthews' restaurant, Snyder Meat market, Owen & Leinarts's barber shop, C. E. Davis' pool hall, Hargrove's grocery store, Anderson Hotel, Bridge Street Restaurant, City Meat Market and Holland & Mitchell's tailor shop.

The Fritz Smith building, occupied by Warren Bros.' drug store, was slightly damaged.
