FIRE CAUSES MUCH LOSS.

One Cottage Destroyed and Two Others Damaged on K Street.

Fire at 7:11 o'clock last night destroyed one cottage, half consumed another and damaged a third on K street. All were homes of negroes in property owned by Israel Dreeben.
The home of Robert Robison was valued at about $300 and had contents of about $100. Both were consumed without insurance. This was at 2409 K street, the origin of the fire. At 2411 K street, adjoining the home of Fannie Holmes, valued at $250 and contents at about $100, were damaged to about half the value of each. The home of Lee Robinson at 2407 K street was slightly damaged by the heat.
