Stewardess’ Body Recovered At Last
SALT LAKE CITY, Aug. 5—(AP)—The body of Gladys Witt, gay air stewardess whose flights to and from romantic entanglements occupied newspaper headlines just a year ago, lay in a mortuary here, today, recovered at last from the scene of a December plane crash.
Miss Witt was one of seven killed when a Western Air Express transport struck a mountain top 35 miles southeast of here last December 15.
A native of Texas, she was divorced in 1934 from Brooks Powell, Gainesville, Tex., mortician.
