ACCIDENT AT A VERMONT FAIR.
Race Horse Bolts from the Track and Plunges Into the River.
MONTPELIER, Vt., Sept. 23,----At the races at South Ryegate Fair this afternoon a horse, owned by Frank Kittredge of Woodsville, N. H., bolted from the track through the crowd and plunged into the river adjacent.
Dozens of persons were knocked down and several badly cut and bruised, but no one was fatally hurt. The animal, which was valued at $1,000, was drowned before he could be gotten out.
