2 die in truck fire in Pulaski County
Two people were found dead inside a truck that crashed and caught fire in Pulaski County Friday morning.
The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office responded around 11:30 a.m. to southbound U.S. 11 in front of the former Barn Farm and Home Center for a vehicle crash, according to a news release from the sheriff's office. Upon arrival, fire departments from Dublin and Pulaski and regional EMS found a 1995 Ford pickup truck had caught on fire after it crashed into a tree.
Responders found two bodies in the truck after the fire was extinguished, according to the news release.
The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office and Claytor Lake Regional Crash Team are investigating the crash to determine the identities of the bodies and cause of the wreck.
The bodies were taken to the medical examiner's office in Roanoke for further identification and investigation.
