CHILD BURNS TO DEATH

Mother Saves Another by Throwing It Out of Window

Merrill, Wis., Jan. 12.---Glenn, the 18-months-old son of John Frawley, a Lincoln county farmer, was burned to death last night. The father was in Tomahawk and the mother left the house to assist an older son attend to the evening chores about the farm. Returning to the house, they found it in flames, and were unable to save the child.

Discovering their home in flames, Mrs. John Mondick, also of Lincoln county, attempted to rescue her four-year-old son by throwing him out of the window into the snow. She then saved what personal belongings she could. When the child was taken from the snow it was discovered that he was barefooted and before he could be taken to a place of safety both feet were frozen.
