SKIFF SWAMPED; ONE OCCUPANT IS DROWNED
OSHKOSH, Wis. Aug. 7. - Their 12-foot skiff swamped by waves, Eugene Mason of Oshkosh, aged 20, was drowned Saturday afternoon in Lake Winnebago and his brother-in-law, W. R. Blanchard of Hillbert [sic], was washed ashore late Saturday evening completely exhausted after clinging seven hours to the overturned boat. Mason's strength gave out after an hour. His body has not been recovered.
