MOTHER AND FOUR CHILDREN DIE IN FLASH FIRE.

Meriden, Conn. -- (AP) -- Authorities said Monday they have not been able to determine the cause of a flash fire which swept through a four story apartment building Sunday night, suffocating a mother and her four children in smoke and intense
heat.
Investigators examining the ruins said the blaze apparently started inside a first-floor store.
Earlier, officials said an unidentified group of children might have been to blame for the blaze.
The children had been chased away from a rear entry to the building about 20 minutes before the fire was discovered.
The dead were identified as:
MRS. EULIA MORALES RIOS, 39.
her daughters, GLADYS, 17, and ISOBEL, 16.
and her sons, EDDIE NELSON, four, and EDDIE, three.
