FIVE ARE INJURED IN NEW CANAAN CRASH
NEW CANAAN, Dec. 26--Five persons were injured at 9:30 p.m. yesterday when two autos collided headon on Route 123, near the Merritt parkway.
Taken to Norwalk hospital were:
Stephen Kurimai, 35, of 110 Spring Hill avenue, Norwalk, driver of one vehicle, and a passenger, Helen McGrath, 36, of 14 Lawson street;
Eugene McLaughlin, 45, of Compo road, Westport, driver of the second vehicle, Peter Green, 63, of New York city and Timothy Ryan, 48, of Westport avenue, Westport, passengers.
Miss McGrath was admitted for treatment of lacerations of the face and a fractured nose. Mr. McLaughlin and Mr. Green were admitted for treatment of fractured ribs. All were reported in "good" condition today.
Mr. Ryan and Mrs. Kurimai were released after treatment of multiple contusions and abrasions.
Mr. McLaughlin was arrested on a charge of reckless driving, and is scheduled for appearance in town court, Jan. 7.
