Chicago, IL Crushed Between Freight Cars, Sept 1887

Charles Collins, a brakeman in the employ of the Pittsburg and Fort Wayne Railroad, was terribly crushed between the bumpers of two freight-cars while coupling in the Canal street depot yards at 6 o'clock yesterday morning. Collins is a married man, residing at Fort Wayne. He was taken to the County Hospital for treatment, and is thought to be fatally injured.
