CROSSING ACCIDENT KILLS FIVE IN FAMILY.
Michigan City, Ind. - Five members of one family were killed in a train-automobile collision near Michigan City.
A man, his wife and three of their six children were killed. The three other children were in school.
The dead were JAMES T. RICE and his wife, BERTHA, both 29 years old, and their daughters, STELLA JUNE, 1; RUTH MARIE, 2; and SHIRLEY JUNE, 4.
The RICE automobile collided with a westbound Chicago, South Shore and South Bend train at a crossing on the electric line six miles west of Michigan City.
