Three Are Killed As Tornado Hits.

MILFORD, Iowa, April 30 (AP).---A tornado ripped a quarter-mile-wide path of destruction through Northwestern Iowa and Southwestern Minnesota Thursday, killing at least three persons and injuring fifty others. The twister struck near Sheldon, Iowa, about 4 o'clock and hedged-hopped its way in a northeasterly direction through Everly, Terrace Park on West Okoboji Lake, and Estherville, Iowa, and then raced northward to Minnesota.

George Roskins, about 30, a hired farm hand, was killed on a farm southwest of Milford.

Mrs. Julius Heuer, a farm woman living near Everly, was also killed.

Racking northward into Minnesota, the storm struck near Fairmont and killed Ray Schelmeski, 19.

In Iowa, at least twenty-four persons were known to have been injured at Milford and Estherville.

Early reports from Fairmont said at least twenty-five were known to have been hurt and a few minutes later advices said hospitals were crowded with injured.
