A FALLING DERRICK.
IT CAUSES THE DEATH OF TWO MEN NEAR WEST POINT, KY. -- SEVERAL OTHERS INJURED.
Louisville, Ky., April 9 -- Near West Point, a few miles out on the Chesapeake, Ohio & Southwestern road, a derrick in use in repairing a trestle fell Tuesday. A rope which held it in place broke while a large beam was being lifted and the structure came down, sweeping the men from the trestle. They were precipitated 125 feet into the gulch below. TOM BRUSE and a man named McDONALD were instantly killed. Two men named LILY and CORIN were fatally injured, and Foreman HOWARD and several others were badly hurt.
