Bobbie Carroll Fischer, 18, of 1523 Clara, died at 9:40 a.m. Sunday at the City Hospital of injuries received Thursday afternoon when his bicycle crashed into the open door of a motor, then careened into a moving truck.
A messanger boy for the Louisville Apothecary, Fischer was the fourth traffic victim in the city this year.
All three vehicles were proceeding north when the accident occurred. Stuart Smith, 29, of 2626 Lander, driver of the automobile, had just pulled to the curb and parked. The cyclist struck the door just as Smith opened it.
Drivers Arrested.
The truck was driven by Riley Harrod, 49, of 2317 W. Lee. He and Smith were arrested on charges of Manslaughter. The victim suffered pelvic injuries.
The youth is survived by his mother, Mrs. Gladys Fischer, four brothers, Paul Fischer, John Fischer, Thomas Fischer and Joseph Fischer, and two sisters, Bonnie Fischer and Jessie Fischer.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Carl E. Herbold Funeral Home, 20th and Broadway, and at 2:30 p.m. at the Epworth Methodist Church. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery.

Fischer, beloved son of Gladys Fischer (nee Brown); borther of Jessie and Bonnie, Paul, Thomas, John and Joseph Fischer. Funeral Tuesday afternoon, at 2 o'clock, from the Carl E. Herbold Funeral Home 20th and Broadway and at 2:30 o'clock from Epworth M. E. Church, between 4th and 5th on "M" Street. Interment in Resthaven Cemetery.
