CAR STRIKES CONDUCTOR

John L. Watson, a conductor of the Railway Company, who resides at 416 Arabella Street, was badly hurt early yesterday morning at the corner of Carondelet and Poydras Streets. He attempted to cross the street at the corner and was knocked down by car 811, of the Collseum Street Line. Watson suffered a concussion of the brain. He was conveyed to the hospital, where the surgeons found that his condition is not serious.
