Omaha, NE Painters Fall Thirty Feet, Jun 1906


Ballbeck and Doane Are Dangerously Injured—Guy Rope Breaks Away.

After a fall of thirty feet, two painters working on A. Remington’s house at 406 South Fortieth street, have been taken to their homes in a critical condition. The breaking of a guy rope caused the precipitation.

Richard Ballbeck of 1011½ Howard street has a sprained wrist, a broken leg, and internal injuries.

H. E. Doane has a sprained back, and may have internal injuries.

The police patrol wagon answered the emergency call and Police Surgeon Elmore gave the first attention. The accident was at 2 p.m.

Both men are married.
