Brockport, PA Boiler Explosion, June 1897


ADAM LECK, sixty-two years old, and his son, WILLIAM, twenty-five years old, were killed instantly by the explosion of the boiler in a small machine shop at Brockport, Elk County, Penn. The building was owned by Leck and was demolished by the force of the explosion. Both bodies were blown about 100 feet and were terribly mangled.
