PRIVATE PLANE CRASH.

Roanoke (AP) - A 41-year-old Blacksburg man was killed Saturday when the light plane he was flying crashed about 10 miles south of here.
PETER CALDWELL SNYDER, died when his single-engine plane smashed into a wooded hillside about 8:20 a.m. SNYDER was the only occupant off the craft.
Police said debris from the crash was scattered over a large area.
Authorities said the cause of the crash was unknown but that it was foggy and overcast at the time.
State police said according to SNYDER'S flight plan, he had taken off from Blacksburg and was en route to Woodrum Airport in Roanoke.
