5 KILLED, 5 HURT IN 3-CAR COLLISION NEAR PARDEEVILLE.
AUTOS CRASH AT INTERSECTION.

Five persons were killed and five others injured today in a three-car collision in Columbia County. The victims were two couples and a boy.
Killed were MR. and MRS. KURT H. BREDEL, of Topeka, Kan.; MR. and MRS. CHARLES H. MEIER, of Chippewa Falls, and their nephew.
The nephew, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Meier of Hopkins, Minn., was not identified immediately by name.
The injured included the DONALD MEIERS and three other MEIER children, all at Divine Savior Hospital, Portage.
Also injured was the lone occupant of the third car, CHARLES KOPKA, of Eldorado, Wis.
Highway police said the cars collided at Highways 22 and 33 just north of Pardeeville at 7 a.m. They described the intersection as
"wide open," with an arterial stop for Highway 22 traffic.
