Rock Springs, WY Two Car Head On Crash, Jul 1956

OREM COUPLE KILLED IN 2-CAR WYOMING CRASH.

Rock Springs, Wyo. - An Orem, Utah, couple, who had been living in Lincoln, Neb., were killed along with three other victims Wednesday in a grinding, head-on collision near here.
Dead are CHARLES F. PULHAM, 29, and his wife, ELLA MONTEZ JONES PULHAM, 28. They were en route from Lincoln, Neb., where he had been attending the University of Nebraska and had just accepted a government position in Mesa, Ariz. They had planned to visit friends and relatives here.
Occupants of the other car, also all killed, were MRS. BERTHA SIKIEH, 40, Rock Springs; her 15-year-old daughter, SANDRA, and her mother, MRS. MINNIE OLSON of Pasadena, Calif.
The head-on collision literally welded the two machines together.
Sweetwater County Coroner Bill Villanova said today no inquest would be held into the deaths since no one apparently was an actual witness to the accident.
Charles Frederick Pulham, 29, was born Feb. 7, 1927, in Payson, a son of Archibald and Essie Terry Pulham. He had been attending the University of Nebraska, taking advanced studies in agronomy.
He is survived by his parents, Orem; three brothers, A. Richard Pulham, Aiken, S.C.; Kenneth Pulham, Orem, and Reece Pulham, Prove; three sisters, Mrs. Fay Lunceford, Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Betty Jess Isaacson, Springville, and Mrs. Evelyn Frandsen, Spokane, Wash.
Ella Montez Jones Pulham, 28, was born Dec. 7, 1927 in Provo, a daughter of Cannon and Ella Harris Jones. She was married to Charles Frederick Pulham in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on May 28, 1948.
Mrs. Pulham is survived by her parents, Provo, a brother, Harris Jones, Oregon; twin brothers, Bob and Jim Jones, California and Salt Lake City, and one sister, Joanne, Cedar City.
Funeral services will be announced by the Quist-Fairbanks Mortuary in Orem.
